$10 Makeup Brush Set Review | Kristen Evans

So, if anyone knows me, they know I HATE following trends. I literally wait until something goes “out-of-style” to test it out. Lol, I don’t know why, I’ve always been like this and I literally can’t help it.

I say all of this to let you all know that I AM AWARE OF HOW OLD THIS BRUSH TREND IS.  I recently picked up this oval-shaped brush set from Ross for $10, cause you know I’m all about Ross and cheap stuff. Anyways, I’ve actually fallen in love with these brushes. I can’t speak for the higher-priced oval brushes, but this knock-off set does WONDERS. I kid you not.

These brushes have been the biggest surprise ever. I really didn’t expect to love them as much as I do. The brand name literally smeared off of half of them after I washed them, however, the brush itself works like a dream. (ESPECIALLY FOR TEN BUCKS)

I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new brush set, go out to Ross and pick up one of these. My makeup looks so smooth and flawless. Also, it’s so much easier to glide on my foundation, concealer, blush, etc. with these, as opposed to, the beauty blender; Don’t get me wrong, I swear by the beauty blender sponges just as much as the next girl. However, when talking about the time and effort it takes to actually apply your makeup, this brush shape has saved me SO MUCH TIME. It’s so much easier in the mornings when I’m applying my makeup.

So below I’ve featured a few of my favorite makeup brushes from the set, instead of talking about all of them.

This little concealer brush has been my favorite brush I’ve ever used. Instead of soaking up all of my concealer, it glides all of the product across my skin, leaving my eyes bright and well-blended. I could see a difference in my appearance immediately after using this brush.

This foundation brush has SO many different uses. I use it to apply foundation, blush, bronzer, contour, powder.. Literally everything you can think of, this brush can do it. It applies everything seamlessly and without the annoying texture that a sponge leaves on my face.

I don’t mean to totally hate on beauty sponges because I really do love them. I’ve just found that this brush trend was actually worth the hype. My overall review of these brushes is that they are TOTALLY AMAZING. I’m definitely going to splurge on the high-end versions of these soon.

Thanks for reading, please let me know what you think.
