NARS Lipgloss Haul| First Impressions & Review

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone has an amazing week! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. ALSO – For the people asking about my giveaway, I am still waiting on the makeup to come in! I’m so sorry for the delay! Please be patient with me! It should be here this sometime this week! I will let you all know ASAP!!

So anyways, I picked up the Nars “Narsissist” Velvet Lip Glide Set a few days ago and decided to show you guys. I wouldn’t want to consider this as a “review”, simply because I haven’t had the chance to wear all of these lip glosses and test their durability, pigmentation, etc. HOWEVER, I am going to give you all my honest FIRST IMPRESSION of these colors. IMG_2848.jpg

First Impression…

Okay so I’m going to start off by telling you the basic information. The set itself cost $45.00, which isn’t too bad considering you’re getting six lipstick shades.

Before I say anything about the kit, I would just like to state that I’m not a huge fan of glossy lipsticks. I prefer matte, but that is just a personal opinion. So if you do really like glossy finishes, then you would probably enjoy these a lot more than I did.

While I was swatching the colors, I noticed they didn’t glide on evenly. I had to apply two coats to get a good pigment. HOWEVER, with that being said, these are GLOSSES, so I’m pretty sure that’s what they’re supposed to do. I assume that they’re meant to be layered over a matte lipstick.

I’m not a huge fan of the applicator, itself. I would suggest using your own brush to apply these colors; Otherwise, it’s going to be really difficult to achieve a precise line on your lips.

I also must say that I prefer nude colors over bright lips. So, I don’t really see myself wearing these shades often. However, I do think they would be gorgeous on anyone who enjoys a bright lip color.

With all of that being said, you have to take into consideration what your personal preferences are. If you enjoy bright lip gloss shades, then these would be perfect for you. The pigmentation was pretty good. (I can’t comment on these longevity of these shades yet). Personally, I was disappointed with the set and probably wouldn’t recommend it.

I hope you enjoyed this review. I’m thinking about doing a first impression VIDEO for these, that way you guys can see what they look like on my lips! Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading and DON”T FORGET ABOUT THE MAKEUP GIVEAWAY!! I’ll be posting the rules and guidelines VERY SOON!!
