My Top Foundations | Makeup Review

Hi my loves,

Today I wanted to take some time to show you all my top foundation picks. I’m going to list the PROS and CONS of each foundation for you guys. I really hope you enjoy this review, please let me know what you think!

Foundation #1: Clinique Beyond Perfecting

IMG_2825.JPG

Retail Price: $28.00

Pros: Okay so I’m going to start off by saying that this foundation has AMAZING coverage. It’s amazing for oily skin, because of the matte finish. I have sensitive skin, so I really have to watch which foundations I wear, simply because a LOT of them cause breakouts on my face; However, this one hasn’t irritated my skin once.

Cons: I would say that the foundation feels very heavy on my skin and I personally don’t like that. Some people enjoy having a thick foundation and I just don’t enjoy it. As I mentioned, the matte finish is great for oily skin; However, if you have dry skin, this foundation probably wouldn’t suit you.

Worth The Price? I would say that this is definitely worth the price. It’s only $28.00, which is a pretty reasonable price for a higher-end brand. I would definitely recommend this to someone with oily to combination skin.

Foundation #2: Naked Skin by Urban Decay

Retail Price: $40.00

Pros: This foundation is very lightweight (as they promised). It’s very blendable and great for those who contour a lot, just because it won’t cause the contour and highlight to look blotchy and uneven. I think it’s good for all skin types honestly, It has a nice natural finish; not too matte, not too shiny. The coverage is pretty great, not as thick as the clinique though.

Cons: I haven’t really found any negatives to this foundation. I feel like it does wear off on my skin, but I’ve also heard from other people that it lasts all day. Also, this foundation is very runny, even after you shake it. I prefer thicker foundations.

Worth the Price? $40 isn’t super expensive, but it’s not the cheapest. I think that if you really love the way it looks on you, then the price is totally worth it. I don’t know if I would purchase this product again, ONLY because I’ve found other foundations that look better on me. All in all, it’s a great foundation.

Foundation #3: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H

Retail Price: $47.00

Pros: This is pretty much my favorite foundation. It’s so pretty, has a natural finish, and has amazing light-weight coverage. It works very well with sensitive skin. I literally emptied this entire bottle, just to say the least.

Cons: I have no negatives for this product. I think it is amazing.

Worth the Price? This foundation is on the more expensive side for the foundations that I’ve purchased; However, I feel like it’s TOTALLY worth it. It literally lasted me about seven months, which is a pretty long time for someone who experiments with makeup every day. I would highly recommend.

Foundation #4: Tarte Double Duty Beauty Empowered Hybrid Gel

*I’m not going to say too much on this foundation because I am actually doing a makeup review over this foundation and the Tarte Concealer. So I’ll just let you all know that I do highly recommend this foundation. And if you want to know more about it, keep checking back in for the review later this week!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! What’s your favorite foundation? Let me know!!

  1. My favorite foundation at the moment is the Fenty foundation. Rihanna did great with this. I’m color 170 and the foundation, is wonderful. I have super dry skin because I’m older–actually, I’m just “old”! And the key to this foundation is to prep your skin first with plenty of moisturizing serum or cream. The Fenty primer works beautifully with the foundation. I am also a big fan of Marc Jacobs Gel foundation. It’ excellent.
Surprisingly, my favorite drug store foundation are incredibly inexpensive. Both are six bucks each. e.l.f. flawless finish and Rimmel, 25 hour foundation.
My daughter likes the clinique foundation due to the coverage and she’s got sensitive skin too.
The Lancome–OMG. I wanted to love it so badly but unfortunately, none of the shades work on my skintone. Any of the foundations from Lancome that I’ve tried oxidized in the worst way!!! XXXOXO!!!

    1. I totally understand with the Lancôme foundation because I’m the same way about the Born this Way foundation!! I’ve wanted to love it for so long but I cannot find a shade that looks good on my skin!!! Thank you for stopping by Xx.
