Today I just wanted to do a small review over this product (below); it’s the Bronze Paradise palette by BH Cosmetics. It retails for $8.03, YES YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT. EIGHT DOLLARS. So, without even seeing the palette, you can already see that it is totally inexpensive.
So the image above is the outside of the packaging; it’s hard to see because it is a reflective orange color, but it is so gorgeous.
And now for the good stuff… the inside…
Okay, so at first glance, this palette was SO gorgeous to me. Like it has the perfect amount of nude matte/shimmer shades and that gorgeous turquoise color, OMG. I was so excited when I saw this on the BHCosmetics website and when it came in the mail, I was literally blown away with how gorgeous the shades are in person.
And I’ve included a picture of the swatches; starting with the top left corner (excluding, the highlighter and bronzer) and going to the right.
So to start the review, I would say that the quality of the shimmery pigments is way better than the matte pigments. I say this because I used only one swatch on the shimmery ones, but I had to use two on each of the matte shades to get them to show up on camera. I feel like that is the case for a lot of matte shades, so I’m not too upset about this.
Quality: the pigmentation is UNREAL. I’ve used all of these colors in different looks before and they just amaze me. Now, they’re definitely not as amazing as like the Colourpop shades, obviously, but for the price (EIGHT DOLLARS) these shades can’t be beat.
Blendable? VERY. I’ve tested the heck out of these colors, just to see how far I can go with them. They are SO creamy and blendable and I just love that. The downside is that there is quite a bit of fall-out from the shimmery shades. So, if you’re planning on doing a dramatic full-face with this product, do your eye-look first.
Packaging: As far as packaging goes, it is SO helpful. It has a big mirror on the inside and the whole product itself is pretty sturdy. This is my go-to palette when I’m in a rush. I can grab this and literally do my makeup in the car. So, yeah I really enjoy the packaging.
Long-Lasting? Yes and No. Okay, so depending on how oily your face is and your prepping routine for the eyeshadow, will decide how long the pigment will last. I used a simple concealer as a primer and my eyeshadows lasted ALL day; However, when I was sweating a lot and forgot to prime my eyes, the colors didn’t last as long. Which, I think is the same for pretty much every eyeshadow on the market.
Repurchase? Definitely, at $8.03; this is a STEAL. I would totally recommend this to anyone, the only negative I would have for this product is that it is limited on the variety of skin tones if would compliment. So, if you’re like me and have fair skin, this will look really good on you, sadly, if you’re darker or lighter, it probably wouldn’t suit you.
